We provide opportunities for students to excel We believe that our DL Program allows student to excel.  This is accomplished by the work of our excellent staff, the curricular choices that teachers and parents make, and through different educational experiences that are an integral part of each student's learning plan.  BVCDL plans "Specialty Days" - opportunities for students and parents to come together and investigate a particular subject, like cow eye anatomy, or to participate in a sports or arts activity.  For our local students, we encourage students to be involved in the local community, including participating in the activities of our Bricks and Mortar school, like field trips, sports teams, musicals, etc.  For students at a distance, our staff can use its expertise to fill your child's learning plan with interesting, educational experiences.
We provide support and assistance We are dedicated to provide you with the support you need.  Our curriculum coordinator will ensure that you are provided with the curriculum that best suits your needs.  Our teachers are available to assist you with questions about your child's progress and educational program.  Our office staff are able to answer your questions about finances, and other administrative type questions.
We are committed to parents. We are committed to providing parents with curriculum, resources, instructional direction and encouragement, and a variety of learning opportunities.  We are committed to give students and parents a Christ-centred educational experience.
We are committed to flexibility. We wish to allow parents flexibility in developing their programs while adhering to Ministry standards and program expectations.  We allow parents and students choice in terms of both curriculum and learning activities.

Bulkley Valley Christian Distributed Learning

Welcome to a New School Year,

We are excited about this year and we hope you are too.  We have experienced a bit of growth since last year and while this provides some challenges, it also opens up opportunities as well.  If this is your first year with our program, welcome.  We hope that God blesses you as you and your child(ren) begin a new chapter in their education.  For returning parents, we are happy to have you with us as well and hope you had a relaxing, enjoyable summer.

Chris Steenhof,
BVCDL Principal

By the end of September we hope to have all of your SLP's (Student Learning Plans) put together for the coming year.  Each family has had a chance to meet with our curriculum coordinator and map out their educational program for the year.  If you have questions regarding your program, please call your teacher or Helga Steenhof.  We hope to have finished ordering materials in the next couple of weeks.  If a need comes up in the school year though in regards to currculum, please let us know.
